17+ GIRLS & WOMEN DIVISION

This division is for girls ages 17 and older and is the highest senior level where baseball is played in RYBL. It is offered in conjunction with the Ontario Women’s Baseball League, playing games against women’s teams from other leagues. Emphasis is placed on skill development, positional play and strategy while having fun on the field. We welcome anyone who wishes to continue playing, resume playing after years away from the sport, as well as those interested in trying for the first time! We also offer an On-Deck Learn to Play program if you want to dip your toe in but aren’t feeling quite ready to jump in yet!

AGE GROUP

For 2026, teams will consist of players born in 2008 and older. 

REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE

The season starts the first week of May and runs through August. There are three options to choose from when you register:

17+ Girls & Women – Royal York team

• I play or have played for RYBL teams
• Monday (8:30) or Wednesday (8:00) games or practices

17+ Girls & Women – New to the League (any team)

• I am new to the league and can be on any of the teams
• Monday (8:30) or Wednesday (8:00) games or practices

On Deck Learn to Play Baseball

• One weekday scheduled practice on Wednesdays at 6:30pm
• Opportunity to play exhibition games (Mondays and/or Wednesdays at 8:30pm)
• Opportunity to play on RYBL 17+ or Annette women’s teams

Championship Weekend

Championship Weekend will take place during the last weekend in September. The top two teams in the division will play in the championship game, but all players are welcome to attend and celebrate with baseball, BBQ, and other activities.

Registration opens early January. Please keep an eye on our website and social media (@1RYBL) for updates.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

• Glove
• Helmet
• Baseball cleats
• Baseball pants

UMPIRING

This is a great way to learn the game of baseball from a different perspective. A perfect part time job to balance with playing the sport along with work & any other activities. If you are interested in umpiring this season, please contact our Umpire In Chief at uic@rybl.com.

COACHING VOLUNTEERS

RYBL is the best youth baseball association in Etobicoke because of the dedication of its Coach Volunteers. All coaches are supported with initial training and continuous group communication to ensure you and your team’s success on the field.
