RYBL Girls Baseball
Royal York Baseball League (RYBL) is the longest running baseball league in Ontario offering divisions fully dedicated girls only baseball. Divisions from Rookie Ball through to the Women’s level have been offered for almost 30 years now. Teams and programs have been and are offered at both the recreational level as well as the competitive level. RYBL also supports girls in baseball by providing all players with third party professional level training through the dedication of former major league players, college players and through women with the Toronto Fusion as well as women who have previously played with Team Ontario.

A passion for baseball
Over the last 10 years or so, due to the efforts of a number of people within RYBL committed to the development of the female game, RYBL has become a destination for girls with a passion for baseball, even at the highest competitive levels, to play and develop. Even more importantly, RYBL offers a space for those young girls and women who want to stay in baseball, rather than be compelled to switch to softball, or worse, to stop playing altogether. We strive to offer a fun and inclusive environment for our players to develop their skills on the field, and welcome girls of any age who would like to try the sport for the first time, return after years away from the field, or play at higher competitive levels.
Development programs for girls
Royal York is committed to improving and expanding the quality of baseball programming for our girls. In addition to the RYBL Select Girls teams, which have become a competitive training ground for some elite female athletes, RYBL has undertaken ongoing development programs for girls who are eager to build confidence in their skills and play at higher levels. These programs are offered on a year round basis for those interested in indoor training in the off-season months.
Fair play and plain old hard work
Youth baseball is as much about character-building as it is about athletic development. Commitment, discipline, confidence, determination, perseverance, teamwork, sportsmanship and plain old hard work are ingredients required for success not only in baseball or any sport, but also in life. Our young women deserve the best opportunities that this sport has to offer and we at Royal York are determined to offer the best possible programs.
