Royal York Cardinals 18U AA Wins Richmond Hill Midget AA Tournament

Congratulations to Royal York Cardinals 18U AA, winners of the Richmond Hill Midget AA Tournament.

The team got important and timely contributions from each player on the squad. The team’s deep pitching was complemented by a potent offence and stellar defence.

The team went undefeated in pool play (with wins over Bolton, Kitchener and Niagara Falls) to earn a spot in Sunday’s finals rounds.

A win in the quarter finals (which included a complete game no-hitter) set up a semi-final rematch against Bolton. The semi-final was a back-and-forth affair, with

Royal York pulling ahead in extra innings. Royal York completed the day with a win against Oakville.
