Co-Ed Blastball (Born 2005)
Entry level to baseball. Approximately 6 to 7 players per team. One hour games with emphasis on FUN while learning the basic baseball skills of throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and team play. Very soft bats and baseballs.
Co-Ed T-Ball (Born 2003-2004)
Introductory level to baseball. Emphasis is placed on learning the basic baseball skills – throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and team play. Big emphasis on FUN.
Boys Rookie (Born 2001, 2002)
Rookie baseball is the first level where players receive a pitched ball from a controlled velocity pitching machine. Emphasis is placed on skills development (throwing, fielding, catching and hitting) as well as position play, baseball strategy, team play and FUN.
Girls Rookie (Born 2000, 2001, 2002)
Rookie baseball is the first level where players receive a pitched ball from a controlled velocity pitching machine. Emphasis is placed on skills development (throwing, fielding, catching and hitting) as well as position play, baseball strategy, team play and FUN.
Boys Mosquito (Born 1999, 2000)
This is the first level where a player receives a live pitch from the opposing team. Mosquito is open to both boys and girls although primarily targeted towards boys. Emphasis is placed on skills development, strategy, position playing, sportsmanship, team play and FUN.
Boys Pee Wee (Born 1997, 1998)
This is the League’s skills growth level where baseball is played. Position play, skill development and strategy become incrementally more important. FUN and team spirit are paramount.
Girls Pee Wee (Born 1997, 1998, 1999)
This is the first level where a girl receives a live pitch by players from the opposing team. Emphasis is placed on skills development, strategy, position playing, sportsmanship, team play and FUN.
Girls Bantam (Born 1994, 1995, 1996)
This is the League’s next to highest senior level where baseball is played. Emphasis is still placed on skills development, however position play and strategy become incrementally more important. FUN and team sprit are paramount. Note: An Additional Assessment to be levied to cover training, tournaments and equipment.
Boys Bantam (Born 1995, 1996)
This is the League’s next to highest senior level where baseball is played. Emphasis is still placed on skills development, however position play and strategy become incrementally more important. FUN and team sprit are paramount.
Boys Midget (Born 1992, 1993, 1994)
Midget is the highest senior boys level where baseball is played in the RYBL. A more competitive level of baseball baseball where the emphasis is placed on skills development, positional play and strategy. Games with other Etobicoke teams. Possibly tournaments on selected weekends. Lots of FUN.
Womens (Born 1993 & earlier)
Womens baseball division is highest senior level where baseball is played in the RYBL and is offered in conjunction with the Central Ontario Girls Baseball League. It is a much more competitive level of baseball where the emphasis is placed on skills development, positional play and strategy. Games with Mississauga, Burlington, Guelph, Ajax etc teams. Don’t forget FUN.
