The Royal York Cardinals Mosquito Rep team had the thrill of a lifetime as Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar along with Sandy Alomar Senior and Lloyd Moseby stopped by to run a practice for the team. The players were treated to infield instruction from Robbie, hitting instruction from Sandy and outfield instruction from Lloyd. The players not only received playing tips from the baseball greats but were also treated to a great discussion and a question and answer session. The evening is something the players (and parents and coaches!) will remember forever.
Cardinals win Jack Grasby Memorial Tournament in Stratford
The Cardinals lost their first game of the tournament to Guelph 11-9 but rallied back to win the next 4 games to win the Jack Grasby Memorial Tournament in Stratford on May 26th. The Cardinals beat Burlington, Waterloo, Wyoming and Bolton on their way to victory. Good base running, solid hitting and great pitching from 10 players contributed to the win. Congratulations on a great effort from everyone.

For the rest of the summer you can take advantage of Pro Teach Baseballs team rental for $99 (Reg. $189). You will have full access to pitching mounds, 2 hitting tunnels and the full fielding area. Practice time can be hard to find with the season underway, contact Pro Teach for availability.

BOYS Pee Wee AllStar Game – June 12! (Photos)
The 3rd annual Pee Wee All Star Game was held on June 12th at Tom Riley Field. It was an exciting day for all the youngsters in the Pee Wee division as each team selected 4 of their top players to come out and display their baseball skills.
